GENREALITY

OOPS!

So, it’s 3 AM on Friday morning, and I just realized it’s Friday morning. By that I mean I forgot it was Thursday today. And for me it’s still Thursday because I work nights and I just got home form work and I haven’t gone to bed yet. It’s not Friday for me until after I wake up.

So, if you followed all that, you can see why sometimes I forget what day it is. Never mind the fact that I changed my shifts at work so I no longer work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights, but Thursday Friday and Sat…. so i sort of thought today was Tuesday, being that I just went back to work after 4 days off.

Anyway, I’m sorry I missed my post. I had a good one planned too. But since this is a sort of Oops day, I’m just going to do a give away. :)

I have an untouched copy of Word Painting for those that are interested in writing, and a Winners Choice of any Genreality Authors book for readers.

You can enter for both if you want, especially because most writers are also readers.
To enter all you have to do is comment below, and tell me if you want to enter For Writers, For Readers or both. I’ll draw winners on Sunday morning and put them up here on our Sunday News post.

Every day has been feeling like a different day for me, so I definitely understand what you’re saying, Sasha. Also, I’d like to be entered in the reader’s contest, please!

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

I spent all day yesterday thinking today was going to be Thursday. Don’t know why – I even had the date right, ALL DAY…

Please enter me in the reader’s contest. Thank you, and have a great weekend!

Heh. I spent most of yesterday thinking it was Friday. Stuff happens that way sometimes. I get my days mixed up all the time.

On the bright side, you can use the post you planned for today next week. =o)

Even though I’m a writer, enter me in the reader contest. (Because right now I’m doing more of the former than the latter.)

I used to work the night shift, and my days off were sunday and monday, so to me, sunday felt like saturday which led to some interesting whoops on my part. I have a regular, day shift, mon-fri job now and I love it. I almost never get the day of the week wrong anymore.

I’d like to be entered for both please.

Went on a road trip one summer and we lost track of time zones pretty fast.

For the giveaway I’m a Reader!

I worked three twelves in a row, 7p – 7a when my girls were still young and I had to drive them everywhere. I was averaging three hours of sleep between shifts. I never knew what day it was at all! The DH would have to tell me I was working that night. And by the time I recovered from three midnights, it started over again. Needless to say, that didn’t last long.

Now I could handle it though I still doubt I’d ever know what day it is. I don’t work at present and I have mixed up Friday with Saturday more times than I can count. *sigh*

I live by my agenda, Sasha, and STILL can’t keep the days straight . I personally think calendars and clocks are evil! :) That said, welcome to Friday and rest assured we’ll look forward to your post next week!

(And I would like to be entered for both, please!)

Oh night shifts… I have fond memories of getting home from work at 7:30am, sitting on my front porch with a cigarette and a beer and watching people go to work. Unfortunately all the other memories kind of stink. I’d love to enter the writer’s give away. I do love to read, but my to-read pile is currently more massive than I like to think about so I’ll leave the shot at that one to other folk.

ooh – enter me for both, please! (aren’t all writers readers too?)
PS – my fiance will likely glare half-heartedly at me should I win… we’re moving house in a month and a half, and I should be getting rid of things, not getting new things!

    I’m such a book addict… ;)

Since one of my kids started working the night shift, I am totally turned around. Now projects that I would usually do during the day, I wait to do once he wakes up, which means I am cleaning at 8 pm , ack!

Please enter me in the readers contest.

I lose track of days too, only my reason is I’ve been out of work for 15 months, and most days blend together. I can’t believe I have so many misc. chores and how did I get them done when I used to be gone 12 hours a day? LOL I hope you get into a schedule groove soon.
Please enter me in the readers contest. Thank you.

Yeah, I had a big “Oops!” this week too! I had posted a deadline for items for a newsletter that I’m the editor for, got the DATE correct, but the DAY wrong. I had been looking at a May calendar, and writing a June date. Luckily, someone caught it and let me know!!

Oooh! Double-dipping on books!! Yes, please for both drawings!

    Later,

    Lynn

As much as I love reading this blog, I haven’t read (shame on me) any of the author’s books yet.

To remedy that situation, I’d like to be entered in the reader’s contest.

Well, that makes it a win for us :) . Could you enter me in the reader’s contest. Though I write, I’d probably get less out of Word Painting than others.

I’ve never lost track of the days, but I have had mornings where I wake up with a bad feeling that I’d forgotten to do something terribly important the previous day. Fortunately, my fear was legit only once.

Please enter me in both drawings. Thanks!

It makes me nuts when I lose track of days. I kept thinking Thursday was Wednesday. Having holidays on Mondays really screws up my week.

Please enter me in both your writer and reader drawings!.
