Carrie Vaughn, Urban Fantasy Author
Carrie Vaughn writes the New York Times bestselling series of novels about a werewolf named Kitty. The tenth in the series, Kitty Steals the Show, will be out in July 2012.  She’s also the author of Discord’s Apple, After the Golden Age, and young adult novels Voices of Dragons and Steel.  Carrie has also published about 50 short stories (and counting) in various anthologies and magazines such as Realms of Fantasy, Asimov’s Science Fiction, and Weird Tales. In 1998, she attended the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop, and she earned a Masters in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

J. A. Pitts resides in the Pacific Northwest where he hunts dragons, trolls and other beasties among the coffee shops and tattoo parlors.

HelenKay Dimon is an award-winning author of more than a dozen novels and novellas. Her first single title, Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy, was excerpted in Cosmopolitan magazine in August ’07 and spotlighted at E! Online. She made Cosmopolitan a second time in December 2009 with her novella “It’s Hotter At Christmas” from the Kissing Santa Claus anthology. Her books also have been published by Doubleday Book Club and Rhapsody Book Club and translated into several languages.

Diana Peterfreund Author.
Diana Peterfreund is the author of the four-book Secret Society Girl series (Bantam Dell), as well as the “killer unicorn” novels Rampant and Ascendant. Her short stories have been named to the Locus Best Of 2010 list and included in the Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year, vol. 5 anthology. Her newest novel, For Darkness Shows the Stars, is a post-apocalyptic retelling of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Diana is an animal lover, a tea enthusiast, and a watcher of far too much television. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her family.

Ken Scholes, Epic Fantasy author
Ken is the author of The Psalms of Isaak, a critically acclaimed epic fantasy series published by Tor. His first novel, Lamentation, won ALA’s 2009 RUSA Reading List award for Best Fantasy. Antiphon, the third volume in the series, will hit bookstores in September.

Ken broke into publishing with sales to Realms of Fantasy, Weird Tales, Talebones and other magazines and anthologies. His quirky brand of short stories are collected in Fairwood Press’s Long Walks, Last Flights and Other Strange Journeys and the forthcoming Diving Mimes, Weeping Czars and Other Unusual Suspects. He is a winner of the Writers of the Future contest.

Ken has a degree in History from Western Washington University and has logged time as a soldier, sailor, clergyman, nonprofit director, procurement analyst and label gun repairman. He lives in Saint Helens, Oregon, with his wife and twin daughters.
