One of the differences between New York publishers and ePublishers is that with many ePublisher you have to write your own story blurbs. With NY ones you don’t have to. They do that for you.
I’ve written blurbs before. In fact I still write them, usually before I write the story though, as thats my sort of outline. However, right now….I’m struggling. I wrote a short story for Samhain, and it’s a hot sexy uncomplicated romp. I had a great time writing it- it was just something to get me back into the writing grove, and have a good time with. And, I’m looking forward to it’s release. However, I’m having trouble writing the blurb for it because it is a simple uncomplicated but hot and sexy romp. There’s no real conflict, not real mystery or suspense, just a lot of hot and sexy fun that I had a blast writing.
I know it seems like a silly dilemma, but really, it’s something I need to consider. So,help me out here. Whats better? A blurb that says it’s just an uncomplicated, but super sexy menage romp’n story…or one that hints at a bit of conflict….maybe a love triangle , even though there really isn’t much of one.
